Made with Merlot grapes from Miolo-owned vineyards in the Campanha Meridional region, this was the first wine bottled by Miolo Winery, in 1990.
View: Intense purple and ruby red
Smell: A good aroma of ripe red fruit resembling strawberry and plum with a hint of wood.
Taste: A structured full-bodied wine with a long aftertaste.Service: Best served at 16 degrees C.
Pairing: This wine's tannicity and alcohol content are not compatible with the bitterness of well-done steaks. It is not meant to be served with acidic or salty dishes. Instead, it matches better with unctuous, succulent foods. Therefore, it goes perfectly with pot roast, spaghetti with beef ragu, rice-with-meat stew, chicken-with-okra stew, all kinds of pasta, classic pizzas and semi-hard cheeses.
